About Us
The TWI story began in 2010 as a father-and-son operation under the name Dura-Coat Spandrel Inc. Darris Shaw and his son Jules, running a small crew across western Canada and eventually into Toronto. Darris was a skilled installer and a hard worker, and those early years built the foundation of everything TWI does today. When Darris' health declined in 2016 the company was dissolved. He passed away in 2019 and is remembered by everyone who worked alongside him.
Jules carried on in the trade, taking on roles with industry leaders including TCG, Flynn Canada, and Merit Glass on major commercial projects in Toronto and Vancouver. In 2021, with demand for skilled glaziers outpacing available labour, he founded Transparent Wall Install Inc.

Since then TWI has grown into a trusted subcontractor across the Lower Mainland, taking on mid and high-rise curtain wall, window wall and commercial storefront scopes for developers and general contractors who need the work done properly. Jules holds a Red Seal glazier certification, a Level A mobile crane ticket through CraneSafe BC and is on the tools alongside his crew on every job.
